Award-winning writer & producer for TV, radio
and branded

James is an experienced, versatile and highly-creative writer & producer with over a decade’s worth of experience in TV, radio, branded and corporate.

Aged just 23, James was awarded the prestigious BBC Radio Comedy Writer’s Bursary, becoming one of the youngest staff writers in BBC Studios’ history. He has since written on countless shows for TV and radio, most notably the BAFTA-winning Horrible Histories and over ten series of Dead Ringers. On top of this, he wrote and created 4Music’s sketch show pilot Pop Sludge, and won awards around Europe for his 2024 short film Argh!.

Alongside his broadcast writing, James is also available for branded and corporate scriptwriting, having written award-winning scripts and copy for world-famous brands including Land Rover, Sabre and MTV Movies.

From 2016 until 2024 was a Producer at the UK’s biggest music TV network, Box Plus, where he wrote and directed hundreds of music entertainment series for 4Music, Magic, Kerrang and more. Since leaving, he has worked as a freelance Edit Producer on numerous primetime series, and in his spare time hosts and produces the critically-acclaimed Football Book Club podcast.


James is available for scriptwriting, copywriting, producer and edit producer work across TV, radio, film, podcasts, branded and corporate.
